The FIA Girls on Track – Empower Program is a unique, hands-on initiative offering young women aged 18-22 an opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes experience at events across the country. 

Empower participants will gain exclusive insights into the teamwork, event coordination, and innovation that drive the motorsport industry.

FIA Girls on Track - Empower - Toyota Australia

Toyota Australia is offering an exciting opportunity for five Girls on Track participants this year taking part in the Empower program.

The opportunity includes one Empower participant taking on a placement per event working with the Senior Public Affairs Specialist – Product & Motorsport from Toyota Australia.

The successful applicant at each event will shadow key staff members in the Toyota GR CUP series and assist with key activities within a race weekend, including but not limited to:

  • Taking photos/videos & posting
  • Posting photography/videos from content teams
  • Engaging with driver social content
  • Assisting with any tasks that come up including advising new drivers of social tagging etc.
  • Writing the recap press release, choosing top 6 images, and assisting with any other marketing/PR activities that come up
  • Visiting Walkinshaw Andretti United and/or Brad Jones Racing teams to meet with their PR/Social member(s)
  • Introduction to any key contacts
  • TMCA will also provide: GR top, GR cap, ticket & lunch/snacks/drinks

Applications will be based on geographical location and is open to 18–22 year olds with proven interest and experience in PR, Media & Content, ideally studying Public Relations, Communications or Media.

FIA Girls on Track SRO Empower Program at Shannons SpeedSeries

he FIA Girls on Track – SRO Empower Program at Shannons SpeedSeries will take place across multiple rounds of the 2026 Shannons SpeedSeries. Each event offers young women a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in the motorsport industry.

Entry for this exclusive opportunity is limited to four participants per race weekend, with selections based on the quality of their submissions. 

Successful applications will rotate through available roles across the live motorsport event, including:   

  • Event Accreditation – Assisting the SRO Accreditation Coordinator with managing and distributing accreditation for teams, stakeholders, and suppliers. 
  • Event & Volunteer Operations – Supporting the SRO Event Manager and Officials Coordinator with pre-event and on-event preparations, race official support, and fan engagement initiatives. 
  • Category Operations (GT3/GT4) – Working alongside the GT World Challenge Australia and Monochrome GT4 Australia Series Managers, assisting with series administration, compliance, and prize-giving ceremonies. 
  • Hospitality – Managing guest and sponsor relations, check-in, catering oversight, and ensuring a premium hospitality experience. 
  • Media – Gaining experience with the Media team, potentially assisting with digital content creation, media accreditation, logistics, race reports, and social media engagement. 
  • Sporting (Bonus, subject to workload) – Potential opportunity for a Race Control tour, offered on a case-by-case basis. 

Applications will be based on geographical location and is open to 18–22 year olds.

SRO Motorsports Group will provide each participant with: 

  • Event accreditation
  • Polo shirt
  • Breakfast and lunch during event days
  • Parking pass for each participant 

This four-day experience will run from setup day (Thursday) through the race weekend to Sunday. Participants must be available for all four days.

FIA Girls on Track - Empower - Bathurst 6 Hour

Applications are now open for FIA Girls On Track – Empower at this year’s Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour over the Easter Long Weekend.

With applications closing at midnight Saturday 31 January, this opportunity provides young women aged 18-22 residing locally in the Bathurst, Orange and Lithgow regions a chance to play an important role at a nationally-recognised Enduro event.

Working alongside experienced members of the Bathurst 6 Hour staff, the roles available include:

  • Event Assistant: Wednesday 1 to Sunday 5 April – Work closely with the Event Manager to provide event support, including camping checking, ticketing, ticket sales, accreditation, podium set up and coordination.
  • Motorsport Assistant: Wednesday 1 to Sunday 5 April – Work closely with the B6HR Category Manager to provide category support, including document check, sticker checks, competitor queries, podium set up and coordination.
  • Social Media Assistant: Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 April (can be a half-day on Thursday) – Work closely with Media Manager to support the management of socials across the weekend, including results graphics for support categories and Instagram updates.
  • Corporate Host: Friday 3 to Sunday 5 April (can be a half-day on Friday) – Host the Bathurst 6 Hour club, including final set-up of the suite. A current RSA is desired.
  • Race Administration Assistant: Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 April – Working as part of the Race Administration Team, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth, professional, and efficient operation of this major motorsport event.

If successful, participants will also need to be available for all event days as stated in the above job descriptions, with their own mode of transport to and from the venue. A campsite can be provided.

Young women aged 18-22 who are passionate about pursuing a career in motorsport or related industries are encouraged to apply.

This program is open to Australian Permanent Residents and Citizens.

To limit the travel costs for participants, the opportunities are limited to those who live in the same city where each event is being held.

No prior motorsport experience is required. The program is open to anyone passionate about pursuing a career in motorsport, regardless of their background or level of experience.

Yes. Applicants must:

  • Obtain a free Motorsport Australia Officials Licence.

  • Complete the associated General Officials Training Module.

  • Complete the Girls on Track – Empower Program application form including your resume and cover letter.

All steps must be completed for your application to be considered.

  3. Select ’Training’ to access the Motorsport Australia Learning Management System. Select ‘Courses’, then under ‘Officials’ you can self-enrol in the General Official Module

The program is free of charge for selected participants. 

Please note: Motorsport Australia will not bear any travel and accommodation costs to and from the event. We will provide the relevant access passes (on the day).

Travel expenses are not covered by the program. Participants will be responsible for arranging and covering their own travel to and from the event.

Motorsport Australia will work with the events to provide parking, but participants will not be reimbursed for any fuel, travel, or parking expenses. Please plan your travel arrangements accordingly.

Selected participants will receive a detailed itinerary and packing list closer to the event. Essentials may include:

  • Comfortable clothing and footwear.
  • Notebook and pen.
  • Any required identification or confirmation emails.
