The FIA Girls on Track – Play Well program is an initiative designed especially for girls aged 14-22 with basic driving skills looking to experience motorsport for the first time.
This action-packed, hands-on program will be held at Norwell Motorplex on Sunday 12 April 2026.
Participants will have the chance to:
- Drive real cars
- Learn advanced driving skills from pro instructors
- Get hands-on with basic mechanical know-how
- Try out circuit laps and test your skills in a motorkhana
- Meet like-minded girls, connect with car clubs and take-home exclusive Girls on Track merch
You’ll walk away with new skills, confidence behind the wheel, and a clearer path into motorsport. Whether you’re aiming to compete, become an official, or just want to explore where your passion can take you.

- There will be two sessions, Session 1 at 8am-12pm and Session 2 at 1pm-5pm
- Participants at Norwell Motorplex will be provided a car
- The sessions will include an educational session, driving exercises, circuit driving techniques and a motorkhana to complete the program

- An Introductory Motorsport Australia Licence at a cost of $40 (this is covered in your registration if you don’t have one)

Do I need to provide my own car?
Events: Norwell Motorplex
You will be provided a car at the event, you do not need to bring a car if you are participating at Norwell Motorplex.
Do I need a Motorsport Australia licence to participate in the program?
A single event introductory licence will be included with your registration if you do not already hold a Motorsport Australia licence. The cost of this licence will be $40.
How much does it cost to enter?
This event will cost $40 if you do not already hold an active Motorsport Australia licence. This cost covers the fee of the licence.
Do I need a race suit or helmet to participate?
No – we just request that you wear non-flammable pants and long sleeve clothing and fully enclosed shoes. You are not required to supply a helmet for this event.
How old do I have to be to participate?
You must be between 14 and 22 years old and have basic driving skills.
Do I need any previous experience in motorsport?
No, you do not need any prior experience in motorsport to participant in this program.
