The FIA Girls on Track – Race Of Champions Empower program is a brand-new initiative aimed at providing real-world experiences to young women pursuing a career in motorsport.
The exclusive Empower program at Race Of Champions will feature three-days of hands-on, behind-the-scenes work experience, seeing participants learn from the team delivering one of the most iconic and dynamic events in the racing world.
Empower participants will gain exclusive insights into the teamwork, event coordination, and innovation that drive the motorsport industry. The Race Of Champions will immerse you in the electrifying atmosphere of this global motorsport event while opening doors to exciting career possibilities in the field.
With a limited number of spots available, the participants will be chosen through an online selection program.

What is the FIA Girls on Track Empower Program?
The FIA Girls on Track – Race of Champions Empower Program is a unique, hands-on initiative offering young women aged 18-22 an opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes experience at the Race of Champions event in Sydney. Participants will work closely with industry professionals over three days (6-9 March 2025), immersing themselves in the motorsport world and learning from top experts in event coordination, media, show production, and more.
Where and when is the Race Of Champions taking place?
The Race of Champions will take place at Accor Stadium, Sydney, from 6-8 March 2025. The Empower Program participants will be required to attend all three days of the event.
What roles are available?
- Show Team (1x position)
Learn from the show team with the show acts, ensuring the acts are ready on time so there are no delays and supporting the toppers where needed to help ensure a seamless show happens and in time with broadcast.
- Passenger Team (6x positions)
Learn from the passenger team to ensure passengers have arrived on time, have signed their waiver form and the passengers are car ready i.e. in their overalls and helmet. This is a fast-paced environment, passengers have to be ready as the cars will not wait.
- Social Media Team (1x position)
Learn from the social media manager and team to schedule posts and ensure social media is going out on time. The social media team is a busy team and requires organisation and creative thinking.
- Media & Driver Team (1x position)
This is a shared role with the media and driver team depending on the needs required on site. Learning from the media and driver team to ensure the drivers are in the right locations when needed. Helping with any other adhoc issues during the day.
- Behind the Scenes Tour Support (2x positions)
This role is to learn from the hospitality team with the VIP behind the scenes tour of ROC 2025. VIP’s have the opportunity to see the behind the scenes of ROC and how it all works during the action. Ideally this role would be suitable for someone who is confident, chatty and understands motorsport.
When and where does the event take place?
The program will take place on Thursday, 6 March 2025 to Saturday, 8 March 2025, at Accor Stadium, Sydney during Race Of Champions.
Who can apply?
Young women aged 18-22 who are passionate about pursuing a career in motorsport or related industries are encouraged to apply.
This program is open to Australian Permanent Residents and Citizens currently residing in the Greater Sydney area only.
How do I apply?

Is there a selection process?
No previous experience is required. The program is designed to provide valuable experience and insights into the motorsport industry, so we encourage applicants who are eager to learn and are passionate about the field.
Are there any prerequisites to apply?
Yes. Applicants must:
Obtain a free Motorsport Australia Officials Licence.
- Complete the associated General Officials Training Module.
Complete the 2025 Girls on Track – Race of Champions Empower Program application form including your resume and cover letter.
All steps must be completed for your application to be considered.
How do I obtain my Motorsport Australia Officials Licence?
Applicants are required to obtain a free Motorsport Australia Officials Licence and complete the associated General Officials Training Module for their application to be considered.

Create an account or Log in to the Motorsport Australia Member Portal
Head to ‘My Applications’ then + ‘Create New Application’ and select Officials Licence. Click ‘Apply’ and then follow the steps to apply for a General Official
Select ’Training’ to access the Motorsport Australia Learning Management System. Select ‘Courses’, then under ‘Officials’ you can self-enrol in the General Official Module

Do I need prior motorsport experience to apply?
No prior motorsport experience is required. The program is open to anyone passionate about pursuing a career in motorsport, regardless of their background or level of experience.
How much does it cost to attend?
The program is free of charge for selected participants.
Please note: Motorsport Australia will not bear any travel and accommodation costs to and from the event. We will provide the relevant access passes (on the day), along with food and beverages.
Is there any compensation for my participation in the program?
This is a volunteer-based program, and participants will not be compensated for their time. However, it offers incredible networking opportunities and real-world experience that could help launch your career in motorsport.
Will my travel and parking costs be covered?
Travel expenses are not covered by the program. Participants will be responsible for arranging and covering their own travel to and from the event. Motorsport Australia will work with the Race of Champions team to provide staff parking, but participants will not be reimbursed for any fuel, travel, or parking expenses. Please plan your travel arrangements accordingly.
