A record number of clubs around Australia have affiliated with CAMS in 2018.
So far this year, 583 CAMS car clubs have confirmed their affiliation – the highest number in CAMS’ history.
It’s a positive sign for grassroots in Australia, with the number of car clubs steadily increasing since 2013.
CAMS president Andrew Papadopoulos thanked the clubs for their contribution to the sport.
“It is a great sign for CAMS and all affiliated car clubs that the passion and interest in our sport to grow around the country,” Papadopoulos said.
“We believe Australian is in a great position and this achievement further justifies that grassroots will be a key part of our future.
“I would like to thank all the clubs and members who put in a lot of hard work, time and dedication into creating opportunities for car enthusiasts to live out their passion.”
Existing clubs will be able to re-affiliate for 2019 later this month, while any clubs wishing to affiliate with CAMS should contact their local CAMS State Office.
