Seven for strong Shannons
Friday 19 October, 2018
The Shannons Nationals will have seven rounds in 2019 with two to take place at the Bend Motorsport Park.
The Shannons Nationals will be bigger and better in 2019, with an expanded calendar to host a range of categories and competitors.
Thanks to an improved live stream and more competitors racing at more events, the Nationals will race across four states on six of Australia’s best racing circuits.
The categories racing at each round will be confirmed shortly.
CAMS General Manager of Motor Michael Smith said he’s excited another great Shannons Nationals season.
“We’ve hosted a tremendous year of racing and we look forward to returning to those circuits in 2019,” Smith said.
“After what was such a successful season this year, we felt the need to add another round to give back to our loyal categories and competitors.
“2019 is lining up to be another great season of the Shannons Nationals.”
The season will begin in May at Sydney Motorsport Park before returning to Victoria for the second round at Phillip Island in June.
Round 3 will see the Nationals return to South Australia, racing at The Bend Motorsport Park in July and will then head north to Queensland Raceway in August.
A two-day round will see out the fifth round at Winton Motor Raceway in September, before the penultimate event at Sandown later that month.
The season is set to end in South Australia in November, with the Nationals returning to The Bend twice next season.
