Famous support for Hall of Fame

Famous Insurance Agency is placing its support behind the Australian Motor Sport Hall of Fame.

The Australian Motor Hall of Fame has secured a new presenting sponsor, with Famous Insurance Agency placing its support behind the iconic event.

Despite its short history, the Hall of Fame has enjoyed plenty of support from everyone involved in across its many disciplines, both on two wheels and on four.

Famous Insurance Agency Managing Director, Andy Gibson was proud to confirm the agreement.

“We see the Australian Motor Hall of Fame as a very significant part of the calendar and we are very proud to lend our support to this event,” Gibson said.

“Each year, the Hall of Fame draws a large number of dedicated enthusiasts, as well as the existing and new inductees who come together to celebrate, and we are excited to be the official presenting sponsor of the Hall of Fame.” 

Hall of Fame Chairman Garry Connelly was thrilled to welcome Famous Insurance Agency on board.

“This is a perfect fit for this prestigious event,” Connelly said.

“We are delighted that Andy and the entire team at Famous have come on board as Presenting Sponsor for this event and know they will be a very welcome addition to the Hall of Fame family.”

“Famous are big supporters of Australian and we are very pleased they will be a major part of this very special night of nights in 2019.”

Famous Insurance Agency replaces founding three-year presenting sponsor Speedcafe.com, which continues its support of the Hall of Fame as the official media partner and online host of the event. 

“We thank Speedcafe.com for their major commitment in the founding years and are delighted they will be continuing as our media partners,” Connelly added. 

Next year’s event will again be held during the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix 2019, taking place on Friday, 15 March at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. 

The Australian Motor Hall of Fame inducted its first members in 2016, and earlier this year elevated two Hall of Fame members, Sir Jack Brabham and Mick Doohan, to Legend status at the 2018 event – the first to earn this significant .

The Australian Motor Hall of Fame is an initiative of CAMS, with the support of Motorcycling Australia, Karting Australia, ANDRA and Speedway Australia, and is presented by Famous Insurance.
