Can Monash Motorsport continue their brilliant 2018?
CAMS Members are encouraged to attend the 2018 Formula SAE-A competition at Winton Motor Raceway on 6-9 December as either a volunteer or spectator.
The Formula SAE-A program is a university-level competition where participating students from around the country design, build, validate and compete with a Formula-style race car in a variation on tests against other student teams.
Throughout the 12-month program, the students are tested in a variety of areas engineering, administration management, leadership, teamwork, marketing finance
With graduating students often recruited within the industry due to their industry-relevant skills and immediate value for employers, it’s a chance for car enthusiasts fans to support the future of the sport.

Since its inception in 2000, up to 30 university-run teams have taken part in the event each year with thousands of spectators attending in recent years due to the growing interest of the program from the Asia Pacific region.
The 2018 Formula SAE-A is expected to host 35 teams across six different countries, making it one of the largest and diverse fields in the program’s 20-year history.
In a sign of the program’s growth in strength, this year saw 2017 Formula SAE-A champions Monash University undergo a successful campaign on the world stage, taking out top in the United Kingdom competition and a podium finish in Austria.
The 2018 Formula SAE-A event will take place at Winton Motor Raceway in Victoria on 6 – 9 December.
