A total of $1million in prizes is up for grabs as part of the 2019 Aussie Driver Search.

Aspiring drivers from around the country will have a chance to secure some terrific prizes as part of next year’s program, with entries to open on Sunday, 25 November.

The 2019 season will see four major competitions held – Pro, GT, Amateur and Rookie Competition, all offering significant prizes.

The winner of the Pro Competition will win a fully-funded season in the 2020 Dunlop Super2 Series with Matt Stone Racing. This mirrors the award that this year’s finalists will be fighting for at Wakefield Park next month (11-12 December).

The GT Competition will take another step up next year, with the winner securing a drive in the 2020 Bathurst 12 Hour race at Mount Panorama.

In the Amateur and Rookie Competitions, cash prizes are up for grabs. The Amateur Competition will score $100,000 to use towards their 2020 race seasons, while the Rookie winner will score $30,000 racing budget prize.

Aussie Driver Search founder Kyle Austin said 2019 would be the “biggest and best year yet”.

“Having the fully-funded Super2 Series prize with Matt Stone Racing is such a huge deal. This is a real life-changing award for the winner,” Austin said.

“The GT Competition prize is amazing too. I was watching that event a few years ago thinking it would be cool to be a part of, and I’m extremely proud that we will be able to offer someone the chance to race in it.

“The 12 Hour race has cemented itself as a world-class event in our own backyard. It will be a thrill to see someone who has come through our program racing in it.

“The Amateur and Rookie prizes cannot be overlooked either. The cash prizes will kick start your racing journey and could send you onto bigger and better things.”
