The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) has released the official schedule for the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019.

The schedule announcement follows on from the AGPC’s announcement earlier this week regarding the historic Formula 1 official launch on Wednesday at Federation Square.

As expected, spectators will get multiple chances throughout the weekend to see the world’s best F1 drivers hit the track with the main race to take place at 4.10pm (AEDT) on Sunday, 17 March.
 
Australian Daniel Ricciardo will get his first chance to impress his new team at midday on Friday for the first practice session, with the second practice to take place later that day at 4pm.
 
On Saturday, a third and final practice session at 2pm will set up the one-hour qualifying session at 5pm before Sunday’s big race.
 
In the support categories, the CAMS PAYCE Australian Formula 4 Championship will not only make its debut on the international stage but will also kick off the four-day event with practice on Thursday morning. 
 
Later on Thursday afternoon, the Championship will hold qualifying, setting up the first race on Friday morning also acting as the entrée to Formula 1’s first practice. 
 
On both Saturday and Sunday, it will hold one 20-minute race around midday to wrap up the season opener for 2019.
 
As with most years, the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship will hold the prime time spots amongst the support categories, with qualifying and race one to occur on Friday. 
 
Supercars will then have a further two races on Saturday, one in the afternoon and the second to close the third day in the twilight hours before the fourth and final race on Sunday afternoon leads into the iconic Formula 1 parade.
 
Other notable categories to hit the Albert Park track will be the Porsche Carrera Cup and the CAMS Australian GT Championship with both categories holding one race on each day of the event.  
 
There will also be a vast array of track activity to keep fans entertained with the Ferrari Challenge Asia Pacific, MSS Security Speed Challenge and Historic parades to take placed throughout the weekend.
