The Wyndham Classics Car Club is aiming to hold more events in 2019 and beyond after a successful debut show and shine earlier this month.
Founded in 2017 with the aim of building a pure family club environment for car enthusiasts at a grassroots level, the two-year-old car club's first ever event saw more than 125 entrants feature in the impressive display.
Taking place at Williams’ Landing in Melbourne’s west, the debut event exceeded the expectations of the club itself as thousands of people attended the display across the day to enjoy everything on offer.
From a 1929 Ford Model A to a 2007 Ferrari 599 GTB and everything in between, there was an eclectic mix of classic and modern cars from different a variety of eras which saw awards presented at the end of the day across 10 special categories.
With the club’s focus heavily reliant on being a family club, there was lots of children’s entertainment also available throughout the day, which included face painting, jumping castles and a special Lighting McQueen car display.
With the dust settled after the show and shine, club Secretary James Stevens was thrilled with the event, lauding those involved as well as the club's future.
“For our first ever event, we couldn’t be more happier as to how it went,” Stevens said.
“Myself and the club are grateful to all those who put in time and effort behind the scenes to get this club and the show running. Also those who attended as either an entrant or spectator.

“Having success like this really inspires you as a club to get out there and do more for your members and the community, so we will look at definitely doing something like this again soon.
“Again, I would like to thank everyone who was involved with the process as well as Resto Country Spares for supplying the trophies handed out for the best cars on display.”
