TCR Australia has a new major sponsor.
Australian-based Astrontech is the latest company to sign on as a TCR Australia Series major partner after confirming their position as the series’ pole position sponsor.
For all seven rounds of the inaugural series, the IT solutions and service provider will award $1000 to the driver that claims pole position.
With the company offering systems integration and IT service to small and medium-sized enterprises, Astrontech Managing Director Tony Tziolis was excited to get the unique company involved with the new series.
“Astrontech is very pleased to be involved in the first season of the TCR Australia Series as the major partner of the pole position prize,” Tziolis said.
“Our company has a great passion for new and exciting products, and the TCR Series is a great example of this. It is a globally recognised category that has an excellent link to the Australian landscape. We feel it is the perfect fit for us.
“As we know, pole position is the best place to start a race, so we are looking forward to the cars battling out for that spot.”
With Astrontech’s $7000 adding to the incredible prize pool on offer to competitors, which includes $100,000 for the overall winner, Australian Racing Group Director Matt Braid was thrilled with another company joining the party.
“ARG is excited to welcome Astrontech to our team of partners for 2019 and beyond,” Braid added.
“Astrontech is a leader in the IT solutions and service provider game, and now, they will be linked to the fastest driver at every TCR Australia Series event.
“The strength of the TCR Series is becoming evident now that we are building our grid numbers and category partnerships in the lead up to an exciting first event in Sydney.”
With every race broadcast live and free on SBS, fans also have the chance to be part of history and can purchase tickets to the Shannons Nationals here.
The inaugural TCR Australia Series will form part of every Shannons Nationals round in 2019 and kicks off at Sydney Motorsport Park on 17-19 May.
