The Australian Road Safety Foundation’s Fatality Free Friday campaign takes place on Friday 29 May, with those in the motorsport community encouraged to lend their support to the cause.

Anyone can still get involved with the road safety campaign by “taking the pledge” and sharing their story with an image of themselves, which will eventually be inserted into a mosaic with a special message.

The mosaic will be made up 1,195 images of everyday people affected by road trauma with the number representing the 1,195 Australians who died on our roads last year.

The campaign has already received a large amount of support with the New South Wales and Queensland Governments supporting the project, as well as major sponsors Castrol and Suncorp.

Virgin Australia Supercars Championship legend Craig Lowndes is an ambassador for the initiative and will be part of a virtual live panel on Friday 29 May, alongside Australian Road Safety Foundation CEO and Founder Russell White and You Choose - Youth Road Safety's Melissa McGuiness to discuss the campaign.

Pledging to the cause is an easy process, with people only needing to upload an image of themselves with a message or simply pledge their allegiance via the website.
