The BMW Drivers Club of Melbourne has run the first event at Sandown Raceway since COVID-19 restrictions were eased, with up to 40 participants taking part in different groups in the successful Come and Try day.

 

With experienced drivers looking to use the event as a way to dust off their cars on the iconic circuit for the first time in three months, others used the day to dip their toe in the water and get a taste of motorsport.

 

Adhering to Motorsport Australia’s Return to Race guidelines, the club administered appropriate social distancing, took temperature checks and completed all documentation electronically to make sure the event was run smoothly and safely.
