Funding available to Victorian clubs

Victorian based Motorsport Australia affiliated car clubs and organisations now have an opportunity to apply for financial assistance with the Victorian Government opening applications for the 2020-21 Sporting Club Grants Program.
The program aims to provide financial aid to grassroots clubs around the state as a way to continue improving local sports and helping clubs grow.
There are three funding categories part of the 2020-21 Sporting Club Grants Program with clubs able to apply for assistance in uniforms and equipment, skill development and organisation operational capacity.
Up to $5000 is available to clubs organisations who deliver sporting or recreational programs to their community and many Victorian car clubs are eligible for funding due to being not-for-profit organisations.
Outside of being a not-for-profit organisation, applicants must meet a number of different criteria to be eligible, including possessing an Australian Business Number, adhering to and enforcing the Fair Play Code and mustn’t have received any sporting club grants in the previous financial year.

Motorsport Australia CEO Eugene Arocca encouraged all Victorian based car clubs and organisations to apply for a grant.
“Considering the hardship many Victorian car clubs have faced over the past five months, these grants come at a great time and could definitely give some much needed assistance,” Arocca said.
“I encourage our Victorians clubs to fill out an application, as it’s a great opportunity to improve particular areas within their organisation and access much needed funds during a challenging year.
“Whether it’s the need to purchase new equipment to improve the club facilities, upskilling different members in the organisation to improve running events or even business plans to help the club after such a long hiatus of events, it makes good sense to apply for the grant.”
