Young aspiring rally drivers will have more opportunities to compete in the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC) next year after further amendments to the 2021 Sporting & Technical Regulations.
Previously, the ARC Junior Cup was limited to 2WD cars, however, with minimal differences between 2WD cars and non-turbo 4WD vehicles , drivers aged 26 and under who own non-turbo 4WD vehicles can now enter the ARC Junior Cup next year.
The change will make the sport even more accessible to more young rally drivers around the country who are looking to make their mark on the national stage and begin a career in the sport.
The changes will come into effect from 1 January 2021, with the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship's first round, the Netier National Capital Rally, to take place in Canberra on 26-28 March.
