2021 Motorsport Australia Media Accreditation now open
Monday 04 January, 2021
Applications for 2021 Motorsport Australia Media Accreditation are now being accepted.
Motorsport Australia Media Accreditation applications, renewals and upgrades for the 2021 motorsport season are now open.
With 2020 accreditations extended until 31 March 2021 as a result of COVID-19, all new accreditations will come into effect from 1 April 2021 and will remain valid until 31 March, 2022.
Any new applicants should contact Motorsport Australia in the first instance via [email protected]
in order to be provided with temporary credentials as soon as possible to cover any January, February and March events. Existing accreditation holders may continue to use their 2020 vests and ID cards.
All individuals interested in 2021/22 Motorsport Australia media accreditation have until 5pm on Monday 1 February AEDT to submit their application in order to receive their existing vest number.
Photographers, videographers and journalists who miss the February deadline may not receive their credentials before Thursday 1 April and therefore may not be granted access to events as accredited media until their credentials are able to be sent.
Those who submit their application after the cut-off date will also be unable to re-apply for their specific vest number from previous years and will instead be given a new number once their application is processed, which takes place on a month-to-month basis.
There are several benefits to having Motorsport Australia Media Accreditation, including:
- You receive personal accident insurance through Motorsport Australia which provides for a certain amount of compensation in the event that you are injured
- Having Media Accreditation makes a clear statement to event organisers about the quality of your portfolio, that you are bound by our Media Policy and that you are endorsed by Motorsport Australia
- Those without Media Accreditation may not be able to access areas beyond those available to general spectators
