Motorsport Australia can confirm a double fatality has occurred on 24 April as part of the sixth day of Targa Tasmania.
Motorsport Australia continues to offer its support to event organisers and those at the event, and has also commenced an investigation into today’s incident. We remain in close contact with Tasmania Police and other relevant authorities.
Motorsport Australia offers its condolences to the families, friends and wider Targa community impacted by today’s news.

Motorsport Australia can confirm a single competitor was fatally injured on 23 April while competing in the fifth day of Targa Tasmania.
Motorsport Australia is providing support to event organisers and those at the event, and has also commenced an investigation into the incident.
