Victorian 6 Hour finds new home in August
Wednesday 04 August, 2021
The popular Victorian 6 Hour has found a new date after having to reschedule.
After having to postpone the 15th edition of the 2021 Victorian 6 Hour Relay due to Victoria’s current COVID restrictions, event organisers have locked in a new date for the popular race meeting.
Originally scheduled for the last weekend of July, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit based event will now be held on the last weekend of August.
Interested competitors can enter the event and join the existing teams with entries re-opening for participants keen to compete in the popular regularity.
While the event has opened to new teams and drivers, existing registered entrants will not have to worry about changing their details with both team and garage numbers to stay the same.
Officials volunteering for the event will also need to re-register their place as a result of the rescheduled date. They can do so here.
The Victorian 6 Hour Relay is a regularity trial which sees each contesting team, made up of three cars to six cars and four to six drivers, run laps of the famous circuit as they attempt to hit a nominated time on each lap.
The closer they are to their nominated time, the more points they score per lap and the team who has the highest cumulative score by the end of the day, wins.
The 2021 Victorian 6 Hour Relay will now take place at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit on 27-29 August.
