Motorsport Australia has updated its 2020-2022 Strategic Plan, acknowledging the changing environment and challenges since the Plan was first introduced.
The overall objectives of the Plan remain the same, however several key strategic projects have been added due to the impact of the ongoing COVID situation, along with recent feedback from the 2021 Member Survey.
Motorsport Australia CEO Eugene Arocca said the update of the Strategic Plan was an important step for the organisation as it plans for a busy few months and years ahead.
“The Board and management of Motorsport Australia has spent significant time assessing and updating this Strategic Plan as we look towards the next 18 months of motorsport,” Arocca said.
“This updated Plan could also be seen as a ‘report card’, as we highlight those projects we have completed, those that are ongoing, and those we have added based on the changing motorsport landscape and feedback from our members.
“Our key focus in the short term is the sport’s ‘Return To Race’ in the coming months, but there are a number of other opportunities and areas for improvement that will have long term ramifications.
“Some of these areas include the ongoing improvements to our IT system, a stronger focus on grassroots motorsport, as well as a more detailed strategy around our corporate responsibilities.
“The recent Member Survey has also driven changes to our Strategic Plan. There are some specific areas our members want to see us focus on and we have incorporated those into the Plan.”
