After a busy three weeks, the Repco Supercars Championship’s four-round Beaurepaires Sydney Cup comes to an end this weekend with the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight.

There has been plenty of action to take place at Sydney Motorsport Park over the past month as teams and drivers have endured a variety of good and bad moments on the Eastern Creek circuit.

And just like the previous three rounds, Supercars has again changed the event's format to keep fans entertained – saving their most intriguing round until last.

For the first time since Townsville and just the third time this year, only two races will be run over the course of the weekend, with teams to contest two separate two-hour races, one each on Saturday and Sunday.

Both races will feature a 15-minute qualifying session followed by a top 10 shootout to determine starting positions.

The round is also the last opportunity for drivers to compete for the bonus financial prize that comes with winning the Beaurepaires Sydney Cup, where outright championship leader Shane van Gisbergen leads the way.

Anton De Pasquale sits only 28 points behind the number 97 pilot and has been one of the best performers during the consecutive Sydney Motorsport Park rounds, while rookie Will Brown has certainly showcased his future title-winning credentials with a huge win in last weekend’s race meeting.

Outside of Supercars, there will be lots of exciting track action for fans to enjoy during the event, which will run under lights on Saturday.

Fans should lookout for the additional drivers’ practice on Friday afternoon where all of the Bathurst 1000 co-drivers will get crucial track time, as well as the return of the Dunlop Super2 and Super3 series, where leader Broc Feeney will run his first race since announcing his promotion to the main game at Triple Eight Racing next year.

While popular categories National Trans Am Series and the Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia 86 Series are part of an impressive support category line up, the first round of the Shannons S5000 Tasman Series will turn heads.

Running for the first time in 45-years, the series will see drivers from Australia, New Zealand and the world in S5000 cars battling it out for financial prizes and the prestigious Tasman Cup.
