Volunteer officials will be celebrated and recognised all around the world through the FIA’s Volunteers Weekend.
Part of the worldwide officials family are the dedicated and passionate 10,000 Motorsport Australia officials who, week-in-week-out, support our sport through their tireless efforts.
From officials working at international and national events such as the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix and Supercars, through to grassroots activities like Come and Try Days – every volunteer official is crucial to the sport.
“Our volunteer officials play a significant role in our sport and quite frankly, without them, it would not run,” Motorsport Australia CEO Eugene Arocca said.
“We are lucky to have the best officials in the world and weekends like this one give us another opportunity to celebrate and once again acknowledge their efforts.
“On behalf of everyone in our sport, I want to thank all of our Motorsport Australia officials for their outstanding support and passion in what has been another challenging year.
“Time and time again, they continue to shine with their professionalism and dedication and I look forward to seeing them at more events where they can continue to show why they are the best in the world.”
Motorsport Australia encourages all motorsport participants to use this opportunity to share stories and thank officials they know by emailing
[email protected] or posting their thanks online using the #FIAVolunteersWeekend hashtag on social media.
