Tuesday 02 August, 2022
Motorsport Australia will host a webinar outlining its critical incident processes on 10 August.
The webinar is designed for event organisers, officials and Motorsport Australia affiliated clubs, outlining the steps involved in managing a critical incident at a motorsport event.
To be held at 7pm (AEST) on 10 August, the three-hour webinar will cover a range of topics as well as outlining Motorsport Australia’s requirements for event organisers and officials.

The webinar will feature a number of experienced Motorsport Australia staff and officials.
Throughout the evening, webinar attendees will be able to ask questions through the Q&A function.
Motorsport Australia Director of Motorsport & Commercial Operations Michael Smith said the online session would provide important information to support those running events, as well as those first responders.
“While we all hope we won’t have to deal with a serious incident at a motorsport event, we do know that they can happen and it is extremely important that everyone knows the processes in place and the Motorsport Australia requirements,” Smith said.
“Critical incidents can be stressful and Motorsport Australia has a well-established process in place. This webinar will give those who may be familiar with the processes an important refresher, while also providing those who may be new to senior positions at events with an understanding of what their responsibilities may be.
“We will also talk through the support on offer to those who do have to deal with a critical incident and how they can reach out to Motorsport Australia for further support.”
For those unable to make the webinar, a full replay will be available on the Motorsport Australia website in the following days.
The Critical Incident Webinar will be held on Wednesday, 10 August at 7pm AEST.
