Funding available for flood-affected Victorian clubs

Thursday 17 November, 2022
The Commonwealth and Victorian Governments have come together to help Victorian community sport clubs and organisations affected by the recent floods.

Grants of up to $50,000 are now available via the Business and Community Sport Flood Recovery Grants program, launched to assist those directly affected by the 2022 Victorian floods.

Victorian based Motorsport Australia clubs affected by the flooding are eligible for both the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement and the Community Sport Emergency Flood Assistance Program.

The grants are hoped to support eligible organisations suffering direct damage to property, assets, stock or equipment as a result of the flooding.

As for the Community Sport Emergency Flood Assistance Program, eligible clubs can get up to $5000 in funding to put towards the replacement of items that have been lost, damaged or destroyed.

Motorsport Australia Eugene Arocca praised the Government for launching the program.

“This initiative by both the State and Federal Governments is greatly appreciated and a much-needed boost for those affected by recent floods,” Arocca said.

“It has been a difficult three years for many of our loyal clubs and the recent floods have thrown up yet another challenge, so hopefully this program will assist those in need.”

Any members of Victorian Motorsport Australia Car Clubs who have questions regarding the program can contact Regional Development Executive Daniel Gorgievski via [email protected].
