There were Porsche Taycans at Sandown as part of the Porsche Club of Victoria's Presidents Day.
The new era of electric cars continues to build momentum in Australia and thanks to Porsche Club of Victoria, the Victorian home of horsepower was taken over by the all-mighty Porsche Taycan.
In a recent collaboration with Porsche Cars Australia and Porsche Centres Melbourne, Brighton and Doncaster, Porsche Club of Victoria were able to hold the largest ever gathering of Porsche Taycans in Australia.
Held at Sandown Raceway, 40 of the manufacturer's all-electric sports car models congregated on the main straight before undergoing a parade lap around the circuit, with the Taycan S, Taycan Turbo S, Taycan 4 Cross Turismo and Taycan GTS models all part of the historic moment.
The impressive display was part of the club’s annual Presidents Day, which was an untimed non-competition day showcasing the club and the marque, as well as providing passenger experiences to sponsors, friends and family.
Following on from its momentous day, President of the Porsche Club of Victoria, Mark Horton Andrews was thrilled to be able to successfully hold it.
“We were delighted to be able to assemble so many Taycans at one time at this iconic venue,” Horton Andrews said.
“As a group of Porsche enthusiasts, the club is keen to embrace the future of electric mobility.
“It was very exciting to be part of this historic event, and we look forward to welcoming more Taycan owners to the Club.”
The special event was also celebrating the 70-year anniversary of Porsche Clubs worldwide.
