Supercars confirms Bathurst 1000 start time
Wednesday 30 August, 2023
The Bathurst 1000 start time has been confirmed.
The start time for the 2023 Repco Bathurst 1000 has been confirmed, with the Great Race to begin in the familiar time slot of 11:15am AEDT.
The 60th anniversary of the iconic race will take place on the second Sunday of October, sticking with the same time as it did in 2022 and for every year between 2016 and 2018.
With New South Wales observing daylight savings, which comes into effect from Sunday 1 October, there will be no time-certain end to the race compared to other Supercars events, with the sun to set later than usual, allowing the race to continue into the evening.
Across the whole weekend there will be six one-hour practice sessions with session two and five to be dedicated to co-drivers, while ARMOR ALL Qualifying will commence at 4:15pm AEDT on the Friday, which is the same as it was in 2022.
However, the Top 10 Shootout will run at the time as this year, which was at 5:05pm on the Saturday afternoon.
All sessions will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and streamed via Kayo, while the Seven Network will broadcast the race live.
Tickets for the event are available now.
However, before the Repco Bathurst 1000, Supercars continues the 2023 season next month with the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 on 15-17 September.
