The 2023 Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA) Asia Pacific and Oceania Selection Program at Sepang International Circuit has wrapped up with the top six drivers enjoying a decent spell behind the wheel.
After six drivers were selected from the initial 24 teenagers around the region chosen to take part in the event, the finalists were put through their paces on Wednesday as they underwent rigorous testing in practice, qualifying and race simulations.
The six drivers chosen included Enzo Yeh (Chinese Taipei), James Piszcyk (Australia), Kamal Mrad (Australia), Sebastian Manson (New Zealand), William Go (Philippines) and Lincoln Taylor (Australia).
Helping the six drivers navigate through the challenging day were Ferrari representatives Jock Clear and Alessandro Vantini, engineers from both AGI Sport and Top Speed Motorsport and driver coaches Andy Jones and Jayden Ojeda.
Both Clear and Vantini will now take all the data collected today back to Ferrari’s home base in Italy to assess the information before the top two are chosen for the FDA Scouting World Finals in Maranello next month.
The announcement will be made in the next week, allowing drivers to prepare for the prestigious finals.
