Motorsport Australia invites all licenced officials to take part in a special series of digital seminars as part of FIA Safety Week 2024.
 
There are a number of online events being held in a webinar format between 20-23 February.
 
A full list of events is below, with all digital seminars free to attend. Registrations must be completed prior to the date listed below.

Rally & Cross-Country (Off Road) Officials Seminar
Tuesday 20 February – with seminars beginning at 7pm (AEDT) and Wednesday 21 February at 12 midnight (AEDT)
Suited for: Bronze, Silver or Gold Off Road and Rally Officials
Agenda including the latest in rally and cross-country regulations, rally operational safety and the most interesting cases faced by rally and cross-country Stewards in 2023. Officials only need to attend one of these events at a time that may suit their schedules.

Closed Road Operational Safety Seminar
Tuesday 20 February at 9.30pm AEDT
Suited for: Bronze, Silver or Gold Off Road and Rally Officials
Guidance and information on the best practices in terms of operational safety applied to Rally, Cross-Country (off road) and Hill Climb.

Technical Scrutineering Seminar
Wednesday 21 February at 6.30pm AEDT
Suited for: Scrutineers
This seminar aims to assist scrutineers in ASNs by reinforcing essential requirements and procedures. The goal is to provide an overview of upcoming or newly enforced classes and updates for the 2024 season.

Safety Equipment Homologation Seminar
Wednesday 21 February at 10pm AEDT
Suited for: Scrutineers
This seminar is targeted for Technical Delegates, Scrutineers and ASN Staff working with Safety equipment regulations. It will cover the key point of safety equipment regulations and good practice.

ASN Safety Cafe Homologation Seminar

Drag Racing & Drifting Fundamental Safety Seminar
Thursday 22 February at 3am AEDT
Suited for: Bronze, Silver or Gold Circuit Officials

This session will focus on the necessary safety aspects that must be incorporated into the sport at a grassroot level and the various developments that need to be followed in a progression toward a higher level. From vehicle conception to track safety, this seminar will provide a framework for safer supervision of the sport.

High-Voltage Operational Safety Seminar
Thursday 22 February at 6.30pm AEDT
Suited for: Bronze, Silver or Gold Off Road, Rally and Circuit Officials
An overview of the recent FIA regulation updates and examples of real-life challenges encountered by the FIA e-Safety in diverse championships over the past three years. A practical demonstration, showing the PPE, equipment, and approach to managing a car in a critical electrical state.

Circuit Safety Seminar
Thursday 22 February at 8.30pm AEDT
Suited for: Bronze, Silver or Gold Circuit Officials
An overview of the FIA circuit homologation process with key insights into circuit design and construction, circuit safety simulation and circuit inspection best practice, followed by a round table discussion with experienced FIA circuit inspectors on “Flying Cars and Track Limits”.

Karting Safety Seminar
Thursday 22 February at 11pm AEDT

This seminar is aimed at Technical Delegates, Scrutineers and ASN staff involved in implementing the safety equipment regulations and ensuring that they are properly applied at competitions.

Empowering Disabled Motor Sport Seminar
Friday 23 February at 1am AEDT
Suited for: Medical Officials or Bronze, Silver or Gold Off Road, Rally and Circuit Officials
The seminar will discuss all aspects of getting involved with the sport for people with disabilities. With a range of experts in the field, the sessions will be informative and interactive.

First 2024 Medical & Rescue Webinar
