In addition to its commitments to Motorsport Australia and the FIA Girls on Track program, Michelin has also been confirmed as the Official Media Partner for the Shannons SpeedSeries, which will see them featured in the live broadcast.
Michelin already has a major presence in the Shannons SpeedSeries, serving as the name partner of the highly popular Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia, a mainstay on the Shannons SpeedSeries calendar over the years.
Motorsport Australia CEO Sunil Vohra welcomed Michelin’s growing support of the organisation and the sport in general.
“Michelin is a brand that is synonymous with Australian motorsport, so to have them as an official tyre partner in 2024 is fantastic and we are extremely pleased,” Vohra said.
“With the multinational tyre manufacturer continuing its backing of FIA Girls on Track while also branching out to the Shannons SpeedSeries – I would like to thank the team at Michelin Australia for their unwavering support.
“I am confident this partnership will help motorsport continue to thrive in the coming years, both at grassroots and national level.”
Michelin Australia Marketing Manager, David Laing was thrilled to be able to expand the company’s support.
“Motorsport Australia has achieved plenty of success in increasing its member base and we are delighted to be able to come on board as the Official Tyre Partner,” Laing said.
“We have also experienced great joy in our support of the FIA Girls on Track program and look forward to staying involved and inspiring the next generation of young women into the sport.
“Finally, having already been part of the Shannons SpeedSeries via the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia, we have seen first-hand how much it has grown in recent years – both as a product and its popularity with the fan base,” Laing said.
“So, it was an easy decision to join the Shannons SpeedSeries with the hopes of helping it grow even further.”
