The fourth round of the Motorsport Australia SA Motor Racing Championships will be held at Shell-V Power Motorsport Park this weekend with a super weekend on the cards.
Taking place over two busy days, the Championships will welcome a star-studded pool of categories with a mixture of national and state-level series to feature.
Headlining the event is the Toyota Gazoo Racing Scholarship Series, which is holding the second round of its five-round 2024 season and will have a number of future stars of the Australian motorsport landscape competing.
A handful of South Australian based Aussie Racing Car competitors will also be in action over the course of the weekend in an exhibition category.
Joining the one-make series and Aussie Racing Cars will be plenty of regular state series including Formula Vee, Saloon Cars and HQs, SA Tin Tops, the Porsche Club of SA Supersprint and the Improved Production SA.
A number of heavy hitters have entered the 20-car Improved Production Cars, including Jarrod Tonks and multiple-time champion Adam Poole.
With the event run in by both Shell-V Power Motorsport Park and the Sporting Car Club of SA (SCCSA), SCCSA President Chris Frith was looking forward to the event.
“We are looking forward to another amazing weekend of state-level South Australian motorsport at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park,” Frith said.
“We have some beautiful weather forecast for the event and as usual, we will be integrating state championship series with larger national categories which is a format that is proving quite successful this year.
“We are also on the lookout for officials to help us run this event so for any interested motorsport fans with any experience of being an official, we would love to have you on board.”
Motorsport Australia volunteer officials can register a place at the event here.
The Shell V-Power Motorsport Park will also be hosting the Shannons SpeedSeries next week with officials able to submit their interest of volunteering for Race Tailem Bend here.
