Forty women and girls participated in the Buccini Transport Yeah The Girls Khanacross event held last month by the Gold Coast Tweed Motorsporting Club.
With 19 first-time Khanacross drivers as well as 10 junior participants in attendance, the event highlighted increased interest among women looking to grow their competition experience.
The event was one of a handful of events supported by the Supercheap Auto Club Development Fund, where Motorsport Australia affiliated car clubs can obtain funding to assist growth and participation opportunities for clubs.
Applications have again opened for Round Two of the Supercheap Auto Club Development Fund for 2024, with more information available at motorsport.org.au/CDF.
