With a mission to end online bullying, 17-year-old Australian Formula 4 driver Jayden Hamilton has joined forces with Bully Zero as an ambassador.
A passionate and driven athlete, Hamilton built his karting experience over seven years to be given the chance to race in Giti Australian Formula Open this year, as well as Formula 4 Championships in Australia and India.
Hamilton also coaches kids aged 11-18 at LeMans Driver Academy, sharing his experiences and battles in motorsport, and providing kids the opportunity to connect on a personal level.
As someone who has been personally impacted by online bullies, Hamilton hopes to help other kids and adults overcome mistreatment.
“I was shocked at how prevalent bullying is and how many people have been personally affected by it,” Hamilton said.
“I have been made aware of several bullying victims, from six-year-old girls through to men in their 40s.
“There is no limit when it comes to bullying.”
The realisation established a connection with other young people affected by bullying, and motivated Hamilton to take action.
Leading up to ColorSpec Race Sydney at Sydney Motorsport Park next month, the front of Jayden’s car will be wrapped bright orange to represent Bully Zero.
You can purchase tickets to ColorSpec Race Sydney, to be held 18-20 October at Sydney Motorsport Park via
motorsporttickets.com.au.
Bullying victims and their families globally are welcome to sign their name on his car, dedicating the race to victims and those impacted.
Between 30 September to 7 October, the car and its new livery will be on display at Melbourne Kart Centre (MKC) in Clayton, Victoria to increase awareness for the campaign.
Kids from all over Australia are invited to visit and sign their name on the car at the MKC headquarters, with those who are overseas or interstate able to sign virtually.
Tim Macrow, team owner and Giti Australian Formula Open organiser, is also offering to put Bully Zero stickers on all competitor cars and feature the campaign on the winner’s podium.
Funds raised will enable Bully Zero to continue their work with education programs in schools and workplaces, as well as providing support to bullying victims and their families.
