Bright and bold for the Bathurst 6 Hour

The 2025 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour is gearing up for another exhilarating endurance weekend and this year, fans will notice a change in the Race For A Cure car, with brand-new bold orange livery.

The shift marks a new partnership between the Kavich brothers, Ben and Michael, and Thryv, a leading small business marketing and sales software provider.

The brothers will be joined by Supercars star Thomas Randle, who has been part of the Race For A Cure campaign since 2023.

A cancer survivor himself, Randle embodies the Race For A Cure mission, adding deeper meaning to the team’s pursuit for victory.

“Having a driver of Thomas Randle’s calibre, who also deeply understands the cause, is truly unique,” Ben Kavich said.

“His presence gives us a clear advantage on the track thanks to his professional talent, but it’s his personal connection through his own experience that makes an even bigger impact.

“Randle brings credibility and profile to the program, helping us raise awareness in a meaningful way. He’s also a genuinely great guy – personable, easy to work with and a real pleasure to have as part of the team.”

With Thryv’s backing, the Kavich brothers are accelerating into a fresh era, trading yellow for orange while strengthening their fight against breast cancer.

Elise Balsillie, Head of Thryv Australia and New Zealand, is thrilled by the collaboration.

“The partnership between Thryv and Race for a Cure is a very special one,” Balsillie said.

“The work and funds that the Kavich family have raised for Breast Cancer Trials is incredible, but it’s more than just the funds, it’s the awareness and hope that they are giving to the broader community.

“As a company we are completely honoured to support the Race For A Cure team, they are combining their love of motorsport, with such a great cause and we can’t wait to see them out on the track this weekend.”

The Kavich brothers are second-generation racers, inheriting their passion from their father, Tony Kavich, a former Australian Touring Car driver and 1988 AUSCAR champion.

Tony raced under Yellow Pages’ sponsorship at Bathurst in the 1980s, driving a Mazda RX7 and later a Holden Commodore.

“The first time we attended the Bathurst 1000 as children, was with Yellow Pages branding on our father’s car,” Ben Kavich said.

“To head to a well-loved Bathurst endurance event of any sort, introducing new vibrant brands and colours to the sport makes us proud.

“We are thankful for the faith placed in us by Thryv to be able to represent them.”

Ben and Michael have competed in every Bathurst 6 Hour since its 2016 debut, securing strong finishes including a recent second place finish in 2024.

When Ben’s wife, Toula, was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after the inaugural event, the brothers launched Race For A Cure, utilising their existing team as a voice for change and research.

Since its launch in 2017, Race For A Cure has raised nearly $250,000 for Breast Cancer Trials, leveraging motorsport to fund critical research that improves survival rates and treatment options.

The Kavich brothers will battle it out at Mount Panorama, Bathurst amongst 72 cars, proving an action-packed weekend.

The 2025 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour will take place over the Easter long weekend, 18–20 April.
