Motorsport Australia’s popular Women’s Introduction to Motorsport program is back at Sydney Motorsport Park with two epic nights under the lights on Wednesday 11 June and Wednesday 17 September.

The Women’s Introduction to Motorsport initiative was first launched in 2023 and has since been recognised as a finalist in the VicHealth Sport and Active Recreation Initiative of the Year at the 2023 Victorian Sport Awards.

The growth of the program has also seen local car clubs take on delivery of the initiative, helping expand its reach across the country.

In March, Toyosports Car Club NSW ran its first ever Women’s Introduction to Motorsport event, with over 20 participants taking part in the club-led experience, showcasing how clubs can play a vital role in welcoming more women into the sport.

These two upcoming night sessions offer a unique opportunity for women to get behind the wheel, build confidence, and experience grassroots motorsport in a safe and supportive environment.

Participants will take part in a series of on-track driving exercises in their own road cars.

With guidance from experienced motorsport professionals, they’ll learn the fundamentals of car control, track safety, and vehicle preparation.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or simply curious about motorsport, this program is the perfect way to dip your toes into the world of racing, with no prior experience required

Open to women aged 16 and over, both events are designed to offer an accessible, inclusive, and exciting introduction to motorsport.

Entry to these events cost $195 and participants must bring their own road car to participate.

Interested applicants that are 16 years and over are encouraged to register online now, with entries to close on 30 May for the first Sydney event and 3 September for the second event.
