Major events will draw a chunk of attention from motorsport lovers this weekend, however it hasn’t stopped clubland from finding the times and venues to host more than 30 events over the next 48 hours nationwide.
In all, 32 club and state-level events are scheduled to take place this weekend with New South Wales hosting the most out of the rest of the states and territories with 14 listed.
The third round of the BFGoodrich Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship heads to South Australia from today until Sunday for the Loveday 400 – one of two motorsport events being held in The Wine State this weekend.
GT Festival Sandown also kicks off from today, featuring a full weekend of events at Sandown International Raceway, including the GT World Challenge Australia being held at the venue for the first time since 2022. It also forms part of the seven events being held across the state of Victoria to end the week.
At the State Championship level, a quartet of events will run from Saturday to Sunday in both New South Wales and Western Australia.
Out west, the fourth round of the Western Australia Sporting Car Club Racing Championship heads to Wanneroo’s Carco.com.au Raceway and Tiger Kart Club in Neerabup will serve as the venue for the Western Australia State Motorkhana Championship (Round 3).
In New South Wales, the fourth round of the 2025 Motorsport Australia NSW Motor Race Championship will be held on Saturday at Sydney Motorsport Park’s Gardner Circuit, before Round Seven of the NSW Motorkhana Championship takes place at Nirimba Education Precinct on Sunday.
Other notable events taking place these next couple of days include the third round of the Raleigh Motorsports Association’s third round of its Rallycross season at Raleigh Raceway, the Fiat Car Club of Queensland’s 2025 Fiat Nationals event also begins this week, and the second round of the Central Australian Rally Sports Club’s Autocross season continues at the Finke Desert Race Complex on Sunday.
Motorsport Australia FIA Girls on Track Rally School pitches up at the Ipswich West Moreton Auto Club tomorrow as girls and women get their hands dirty on the less predictable landscape of rally driving.
