Community motorsport participation remains strong in August, as we hit weekend two of the month.
While New South Wales again takes the lion share of events starting from this afternoon, a lot of eyes will be directed towards Queensland with the Repco Supercars Championship returning to Queensland Raceway for the first time since 2019 for this year’s Ipswich Super 440.
State Championship events will run in abundance with six scheduled to take place in five different states.
Pemberton will provide the backdrop for this year’s 2025 Champion Autoglass Warren River Rally, which serves as Round 5 of the ARC Plant Hire WA Rally Championship.
Round 7 of the Motorsport Australia Victorian Khanacross Championship goes regional this Sunday, with the event taking place at Bendigo’s Bagshot Motorsports Complex – the first of two State Championship rounds in Victoria this weekend.
Ararat Car Club will host Round 6 of the Victorian Hillclimb Championship over Saturday and Sunday at One Tree Hill.
Heading north, the MG Car Club of Newcastle will host Round 7 of the Motorsport Australia NSW Hillclimb Championship at the Ringwood Park Motorsport Complex.
Below the Bass Strait, the popular Bakers Beach Blast will be Tasmania’s lone motorsport event for this weekend, but will provide for some spectacular rally action on Saturday with the event returning to the Motorsport Australia Tasmanian Rally Championship for the first time in 12 years.
Round 3 of the Clemco Almonds SA Khanacross Championship Round and Round 5 of the Southern Districts Car Club Khanacross season will run at the Mid Murray Complex this Sunday.
The Historic Rally Association commenced its Mallee Tour outback adventure yesterday from Mildura, which will take participants through national parks, remote roads, and historic towns, with overnight stops in Renmark, Broken Hill, and Swan Hill. An optional Test and Tune day will be held on Sunday.
