MG and Mini Car Clubs brace for competitor influx at Baskerville

The MG Car Club of Tasmania and Mini Car Club of Tasmania are in setup mode in the lead-up to their annual Circuit Sprints event on Sunday 7 September.

Taking place over a bumper day of action at Baskerville Raceway, the day will involve a number of activities, giving participants a chance to get a taste of motorsport fun.

Making up the event will be timed laps and circuit sprints from 9:55am at the venue, which will follow a drivers’ briefing and a track sighting that morning.

In addition to the action, the event will also be holding a barbecue for all attendees, as well as beverages hosted by the Mini Car Club of Tasmania.

Event organiser Marcus Hart stated the day will be important for both clubs involved, encouraging every motorsport enthusiast and participant to get involved.

“Both clubs has been looking forward to this event for a while now, it’s nice and relaxed, there are plenty of runs, even a few trophies up for grabs,” Hart said.

“Sprints are some of the most popular disciplines in grassroots motorsport and we are pleased to be able to offer this sort of event in just one day.

“Of course, it isn’t just for our own members – we encourage those with a Motorsport Australia licence to come on down and enjoy themselves, along with any family and other like-minded people.

“I am hopeful to see plenty of new faces at Baskerville.”

Entries are currently open on Motorsport Australia Event Entry Portal and will close on the 4 September.

Entry fees vary across $140 for adults, $70 for juniors (under 18), and $210 for families (two people living at same address).
