The beginning of the Repco Supercars Finals Series, the final round of the BFGoodrich Motorsport Australia Off Road Championship (AORC) and more than 25 grassroots club events sets the stage for an exciting weekend in motorsport.
Three rounds remain in the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship and only 10 drivers are still in contention. Three drivers will be eliminated from the finalist pool at this weekend’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 before the penultimate round takes place at Sandown for the Semi-Finals in November.
The fifth and final round of the AORC heads to Kalgoorlie, where champions will be crowned at the Black Diamond Drilling Kalgoorlie Desert Race come Sunday. Prologue action begins on Friday to determine the running order as competitors aim to sew up classes and climb the outright standings.
At the State Championship level, the Tasmanian Khanacross Championship will draw all of the weekend’s attention on The Apple Isle, with the Motor Sports Club of Tasmania delivering the event at Symmons Plains Raceway on Saturday.
The WA Car Club will host the 2025 DCL Contracting Experts Cup as the final round of the WA Rally Championship in the Wellington State Forest on Saturday. Meanwhile in South Australia, an action-packed weekend of motorsport and music will take over Shell V-Power Motorsport Park over Saturday and Sunday for the annual The Bend Classic extravaganza.
Events of interest elsewhere include a Southern District Motorsport Association hill climb event being held at Fairbairn Park in the ACT, and the Top End Mud Racing Association’s season getting underway for 2025/26 this Saturday at Downes Park in the Northern Territory.
Club events hosted by Shepparton & District Car Club, Maffra & District Car Club, Gippsland Car Club and Kyneton Car Club make up part of the a busy weekend in Victoria.
Lithgow District Car Club, Barrier Sporting Car Club, Mini Car Club of NSW, SXS Trail Riders and the Cooma Monaro Historical Automobile Club do the same in New South Wales.
