National Championship season for 2025 comes to a close this weekend, with the Motorsport Australia Khanacross Championship returning to the Bendigo region for the first time in 11 years.
The event will take place at two venues over two days, challenging competitors to adapt their driving styles as they vie for the chance to be crowned a National Champion. Saturday’s action takes place at the Bendigo Saleyards before the event shifts to the Bagshot Motor Sport Complex on Sunday.
A crown on the South Australian motorsport calendar, the Shannons 2025 South Australian Hill Climb Championship heads to Collingrove Hillclimb. The event commences Friday with a State Champion to be crowned on Sunday. It will also be the first time the long track at Collingrove Hillclimb will be used in competition at the Shannons South Australia Hillclimb Championships, also incorporating the Australian Hillclimb Masters.
It will also be a busy few days for the Kempsey motorsport community, with the Scotts Hydraulic Services Kempsey 300 taking place from Friday to Sunday, and the Kempsey Sporting Car Club’s End of Year Bash hill climb event ready to go Sunday at Mount Cooperabung. The former is a long course off-road event, 300km in total, held at Dungay Creek in Wittitrin, 20km west of Kempsey. It also serves as the first, now final, round of the New South Wales Off Road Championship after being postponed in March due to unfavourable weather conditions.
Other New South Wales events include a Bush Khanacross hosted by the Coffs Harbour and District Sporting Car Club, two Bathurst Light Car Club events take place at Mount Panorama, and the Westlakes Automobile Club hosting its November khanacross event at Awabawac Park.
Across other states, Central Australia Rally Sports Club hosts a night motorkhana event at the Finke Desert Race Complex on Saturday in the NT, the 2025 Baskerville Historics has already begun at Tasmania’s Baskerville Raceway and will run through to Sunday, while a pair of events are slated for Western Australia as the WA Sporting Car Club runs its Tarmac Sportz Hillclimb event on Sunday, the same day the Light Car Club of WA runs its club khanacross event at Bormsa Motorplex.
Townsville City Autosports Club also has two events lined up for this weekend, hosting its Ironman and Aluminium Lady Khanacross event in conjunction with Round 4 of the club’s khanacross series. Both will take place place at Millchester Motorsport Complex in Charters Towers.
