An exciting opportunity for young women interested in motorsport to network, connect and work at Australia’s biggest motorsport event is now open for applications.
As part of a move to expand the previous successful FIA Girls on Track program at the Australian Grand Prix, young women will not only get a unique chance to meet industry experts, but will also get an exclusive opportunity to gain hands-on experience at motorsport events with the integration of the FIA Girls on Track Empower program.
The Girls on Track Career & Mentoring Summit will be held at the beginning of the 2026 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix on Thursday, 5 March at Albert Park.
One of the most highly-anticipated events of the Girls on Track calendar, participants will take part in workshops, panel discussions, a networking lunch with professionals from various roles in the industry and an extensive garage tour plus meet and greet with the Audi Revolut F1 Team.
Following the Summit, participants will then take action in the Girls on Track Empower Program for all four days of the Australian Grand Prix, commencing from 3pm on Thursday 5 March and concluding on Sunday 8 March. Applicants must be available for the duration of the event.
The FIA Girls on Track Empower program provides work placement opportunities to participants, who will be placed across a variety of teams in non-technical roles at the event.

Motorsport Australia Development Manager Charlie Barlow highlighted the important role events like the Girls on Track Career & Mentoring Summit and the Empower program can have on young women aspiring to get into the motorsport industry.
“The Girls on Track Career & Mentoring Summit and the Girls on Track Empower program is one of the most impactful opportunities Motorsport Australia can offer young women looking to build a future in motorsport,” Barlow said.
“It allows participants to learn directly from industry professionals, ask real questions, gain hands-on experience, and see the pathways that are available to them.
“Most importantly, these programs provide real opportunities to build practical skills, professional networks, and the confidence required to take the next step into the industry.”
Motorsport Australia’s Advocates in attendance at the Summit will have extensive experiences in relevant motorsport sectors such as engineering, racing, officiating, team management and administration, media, journalism and presenting.
Successful applicants to the Summit will get to spend the day with these industry experts where they will share their experiences, knowledge, skills and provide guidance to those who want to follow in their footsteps.

Professionals (locally and internationally) will also attend the networking lunch, with an opportunity for participants to further understand more roles and opportunities in the industry.
In addition, each Advocate will select one participant to mentor throughout the year post-event.
“Having ongoing access to an experienced advocate gives participants personalised guidance, encouragement and industry insight well beyond the Summit itself,” Barlow added.
“It creates a meaningful connection that can support young women as they navigate their studies, early career steps and broader ambitions in motorsport.”
Open to applicants aged between 18 to 22 years old, entry to this exciting opportunity is limited to 20 participants, with selections based on the quality of submissions.
