Official Neville Jones is a regular face in the paddock, providing valuable insights and tips to new and experienced officials alike. Jones is also a knowledgeable individual out on track, facilitating memorable experiences for those behind the wheel in some of the country’s elite-level categories.
New South Wales-based official Neville Jones has made an invaluable contribution to the sport over several decades as a volunteer.
Jones frequented both Shannons SpeedSeries and the Repco Supercars Championship events throughout the year, typically giving a helping hand across an array of roles.
On top of his time spent as a SpeedSeries and Supercars supervisor, Jones is also a flag marshal at Motorsport Australia-permitted track days. Jones also assists with the officials campgrounds at both The Bend and Mount Panorama when events roll through Tailem Bend and Bathurst.
According to Neville’s nominator, Jones travelled to the majority of the SpeedSeries rounds this year and ran the accreditation centre for the rounds, providing an important service to the event’s senior officials leadership team.
No matter how busy Neville is, he is always ready to give a hand to whatever is required to be done and always up for a chat.
