A new year has begun and grassroots motorsport clubs are wasting no time getting 2026 off the start line this weekend.
Eight different events will take place in five separate states, with Victoria accounting for half of the proceedings.
Headlining the four events will be the Sandown Revival Motoring Festival, hosting visitors at the acclaimed Sandown International Raceway over Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, Shutdown Motorsport will host a Motorkhana/Come & Try Day event at Lardner Park, meanwhile the Historic Rally Association hosts the Boisdale Rallysprint the same day.
On Sunday, the opening round of the EziUp And Go Victorian Hillclimb Championship will get underway at Rob Roy Hillclimb, made possible by the MG Car Club of Victoria.
Elsewhere around the country, the BMW Drivers Club of NSW hosts its first Driver Experience event of the year at Sydney Motorsport Park’s Skid Pan.
Ipswich West Moreton Auto Club further north will run its own Come & Try Day/Test & Tune event out of Willowbank Motorsport Park, while Tasmania’s North West Car Club and the Western Australia Sporting Car Club round out the action this weekend with both hosting a khanacross and supersprint event respectively.
