In conjunction with FIA Safety Week 2026, Motorsport Australia licenced officials are able to participate in an extensive program of online educational webinars.
As part of the webinar series, a number of online events will be held between 3-7 February (local dates) and will bring together information on a variety of useful and important safety topics and safety-related regulations.
A full list of events is below, with all digital seminars free to attend.

Introduction Session
Tuesday, 3 February, 19:00 – 19:30 AEDT
The introduction session will provide an overview of the 2026 Safety Week and the purpose behind each seminar. It will also clarify why these sessions are relevant and why they have been included in the 2026 Safety Week.
From Research to Regulation Seminar
Tuesday, 3 February, 20:00 – 21:00 AEDT
The seminar will discuss the process behind the release of a technical regulation or safety standards, starting from the initiation of the project through to its publication, using the two new devices recently introduced in karting, the IDR and the Anti-Launch Device System as case studies.
International Drivers’ Licence Seminar
Tuesday, 3 February, 22:30 – 23:30 AEDT
This seminar will present the different International Drivers’ Licence grades, for circuit and road sport disciplines, as well as other disciplines such as land speed records. The session will also explain the International Drivers’ Licence structure and the associated qualification criteria.
Anti-Doping and Anti-Alcohol Seminar
Wednesday, 4 February, 00:30 – 01:00 AEDT
This seminar will explore the latest updates to the FIA Anti-Doping and Anti-Alcohol programs, share best practices for all stakeholders, and briefly address other integrity matters such as safeguarding.
Closed Road Safety Seminar
Wednesday, 4 February, 01:30 – 03:45 AEDT
The closed road safety seminar will take a new approach: beyond discussing safety standards, it will show you live how to build a closed road safety set-up step by step.
ASN Safety Cage Homologation Seminar
Wednesday, 4 February, 19:00 – 20:15 AEDT
This seminar introduces the homologation process of a Safety Cage by an ASN, from the early stage of the design to the manufacturing of the cage.
The presentation focuses both on the technical and procedural criteria of the Safety Cage Homologation Regulations and will provide an opportunity to ask questions regarding the homologation process.
Safety Equipment Seminar
Wednesday, 4 February, 20:45 – 22:15 AEDT
This seminar is targeted for Technical Delegates, Scrutineers and ASN Staff working with Safety equipment regulations. It will cover the key points of drivers’ safety equipment regulations and good practice.
Technical Scrutineering Seminar
Thursday, 5 February, 00:30 – 04:00 AEDT
This seminar aims to assist scrutineers and ASNs by reinforcing essential requirements and procedures. The main focus will be on technical regulation updates, main safety aspects and the registration processes for the upcoming season.
High Voltage Operational Seminar
Thursday, 5 February, 19:00 – 19:30 AEDT
The “Operational High-Voltage Safety” seminar provides a thorough overview of FIA high-voltage operational safety, or “e-Safety.” It covers foundational principles, practical field applications, and roles and responsibilities in ensuring safety.
Participants learn best practices and how to implement effective high-voltage safety measures. The seminar shares lessons from WEC experiences, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
It also introduces tools and resources, including e-learning modules, guidelines, and the ASN E-Safety toolkit, for use at participants’ events.
Circuit Safety Seminar
Thursday, 5 February, 20:00 – 22:30 AEDT
An overview of the FIA circuit homologation process, featuring key insights into circuit design and construction, circuit safety simulation, and best practices for circuit inspections. The session will feature key aspects of the circuit sustainability initiative and an in-depth discussion of the merits of the Grade 5 circuit homologation.
Karting Safety Seminar
Friday, 6 February, 00:30 – 02:15 AEDT
This seminar is aimed at Technical Delegates, Scrutineers, Race Directors, ASN staff and Circuit Operators involved in implementing the homologation, technical and safety regulations and ensuring that they are properly applied at competitions.
Drag Racing and Drifting Safety Seminar
Friday, 6 February, 02:45 – 04:30 AEDT
This session will focus on the necessary safety aspects that must be incorporated into the sport at a grassroots level and the various developments that need to be followed in a progression toward a higher level. From vehicle conception to track safety, this seminar will provide the framework for a safer supervision of the sport.
EmPowering Disabled Motor Sport Seminar
Friday, 6 February, 19:00 – 21:15 AEDT
The seminar will discuss all aspects of getting involved with the sport for people with disabilities. With a range of experts in the field, the sessions will be informative and interactive.
Historic Motor Sport Seminar
Friday, 6 February, 21:45 – 22:45 AEDT
Overview of Historic Motorsport, which aims to define the spirit of Historic Racing through Appendix K, Historic Technical Passport and associated processes.
Medical and Rescue Seminar
Saturday, 7 February, 00:00 – 03:30 AEDT
The Medical & Rescue Summit will be open to Chief Medical Officers, Deputy Chief Medical Officers, Rescue Chiefs, doctors, paramedics and rescue staff working in motor sport and FIA Medical Delegates, all of whom have received a specific invitation to attend.
