Motorsport Australia is excited to announce Michelin will remain the Official Tyre Partner of Motorsport Australia, and a Foundation Partner of FIA Girls on Track Australia for 2026.

A founding partner of the FIA Girls on Track program in Australia since 2020, Michelin plays a key role in providing opportunities for young women aspiring to build careers in motorsport, while continuing as a world-leader in tyre production and expertise.

Motorsport Australia CEO Josh Blanksby noted the major impact Michelin provides to the Australian and global motorsport landscape.

“Michelin’s ongoing support is a significant boost for Australian motorsport,” Blanksby said.

“Michelin brings world-class expertise and a strong connection to the international racing scene.

“Further to that, Michelin’s involvement in FIA Girls on Track also reflects a genuine investment in the next generation of motorsport representatives here in Australia.”

The multinational tyre manufacturing company has been supporting the FIA Girls on Track program since 2022, as well as other mentorship programs with young Australian motorsport participants.

With the Girls on Track initiatives reaching over 1,000 participants in 2025, the calendar for 2026 looks to be even stronger.

For the first time, Michelin Australia will host a bespoke pathways event at their Port Melbourne Head Office, with the team excited to shine their light on industry roles and opportunities that extend beyond just the race track.

Michelin PR & Brand Partnerships Manager, Ebony Doherty has been an Advocate of FIA Girls on Track and actively assists the program at Inspire and Pathways events, while also mentoring participants in her spare time.

“FIA Girls on Track remains an initiative that is close to our hearts at Michelin,” Doherty said.

“The program plays a vital role in equipping young women with the confidence, skills, and industry connections necessary to pursue meaningful careers in motorsport.”

“Having the opportunity to personally mentor a participant in 2025 has been an exceptionally rewarding experience, further reinforcing the program’s impact. We also look forward to hosting our own event this year, with a dedicated focus on showcasing career pathways within the industry.”

“Michelin is proud to continue supporting the Girls on Track program alongside Motorsport Australia.”

Michelin Marketing Manager Oceania David Laing welcomed the announcement as an exciting next step for Michelin and the wider Australian motorsport community.

“This partnership reflects Michelin’s long-standing passion for Australian motorsport,” Laing concluded.

“We’re excited to keep supporting competitors across the country while also continuing our role with the FIA Girls on Track program.

“It’s an important step forward for both Michelin and the wider motorsport community.”
