A variety of motorsport formats will be available for both competitors and spectators with motorkhanas, supersprints, hill climbs and a highly-anticipated international enduro event at Mount Panorama all on the agenda for this weekend.
Events will take place in all states and territories, with the exception of the ACT, for the first time this year, headlined by the country’s first international event for 2026, the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, which has already begun Free Practice sessions at the famous Mount Panorama Circuit.
Backing up the 12 Hour in New South Wales will be club-level grassroots events hosted by the Sprite Car Club of Australia, Hills District Car Club, Porsche Club of New South Wales and Kempsey Sporting Car Club.
The Northern Territory will be represented by the Top End Mud Racing Association for Round Five of its mud racing season, while the Historic Racing Car Club of Queensland will engage in practice and sprints on both Saturday and Sunday at Queensland Raceway.
The South Eastern Automobile Club of South Australia will host the popular Twin Peaks Hill Climb in Port MacDonnell and Tasmania hosts a pair of events; the Highclere Hill Climb on Saturday thanks to the North West Car Club and the Motor Sports Club of Tasmania’s opening round of its Khanacross Series.
The commencement of the 2026 Victorian State Race Series is also underway in the form of the Wolfchester Sandown Challenge and will run through to Sunday.
The Ford Four Car Club will run the Theo Wintels Memorial Motorkhana in Werribee, and further west, the MG Car Club of Geelong will stage a Come and Try Motorkhana event. Events from the Shepparton and District Car Club and the Kyneton Car Club will round out the Victorian schedule.
TECCWA’s first event of the RedMist Series takes centre stage for motorsport in Western Australia on Sunday at Wanneroo Raceway.
