Motorsport Australia maintains three-star FIA environmental rating

Motorsport Australia will continue its standing as an ASN leader in environmentally efficient head office operations, securing a three-star level certification within FIA Environmental Accreditation Program.

The FIA’s Environmental Accreditation Program is an initiative introduced by the FIA to help motorsport organisations around the world quantify and enhance their environmental performance in order to facilitate improvements in motorsport sustainability worldwide.

The FIA conducted an audit in January 2026 to determine Motorsport Australia had continued to show strong commitment to environmental management and sustainability.

Motorsport Australia CEO Josh Blanksby said the commitment to the FIA’s Environmental Accreditation Program remains a priority.

“It is a certification we are proud of as an organisation, and by achieving a high standard within the program’s framework, this is a clear marker of Motorsport Australia’s commitment to meaningful, measurable environmental action,” Blanksby said.

Motorsport Australia Environmental Working Group Chair Nicky Lennon stated the governing body keeping its three-star status within the FIA Environmental Accreditation program reinforced Motorsport Australia’s commitment to environmental performance.

“Maintaining our three star certification status is a great achievement,” Lennon said.

“To be recognised again at the FIA’s highest level reinforces that this is not a short-term success, but an ongoing one.

“The certification is not guaranteed, it is the result of consistent effort, strong systems and the dedication from our entire team.

“As a governing body we are determined to keep building on this foundation and are grateful to everyone whose commitment has helped secure and sustain our three-star standing.”

Motorsport Australia first obtained its level three certification in November 2020 following a rigorous accreditation process that included a detailed evaluation of Motorsport Australia’s environmental management plan and its commitment to best practices and continual improvement.
