Australian motorsport has been dominating the national conversation all week and it will come to a head this weekend for the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX 2026.
To make it even better, grassroots motorsport is not taking a break. In fact, it is out in force all across the country with more than 20 events scheduled across the next two days.
In addition to the fervour at the Albert Park circuit, the City of Greater Geelong will have its own abundance of motorsport available to the public outside of Melbourne.
Headlined by the MG Geelong Car Club Classic Car Display on the Geelong Waterfront on Sunday, The Fiat Car Club of Victoria is set to host a Come and Try Motorkhana event alongside the Western Districts Car Club, hosting a Women’s Introduction to Motorsport session at Geelong Motorsports Complex on Sunday.
The MG Geelong Car Club will host a competitive motorkhana and khanacross event on Saturday at Avalon Motorsport Complex.
New South Wales has a great stack of events on offer with the opening round of the Motorsport Australia New South Wales Supersprint Championship taking place at One Raceway.
Other events include a club motorkhana for the Mazda MX-5 Car Club of NSW and khanacross events for the Thornleigh Car Club, Central North Coast Sporting Car Club and Hills District Car Club.
Queensland has a pair of proceedings this weekend, exhibiting quality motorsport events at Warwick District Sporting Car Club and Milmerran Auto Club.
Rounding out the weekend is a pair of events in South Australia with the opening round of the Motorsport Australia SA Motorkhana Championship at Shell-V Motorsport Park and the Kangaroo Motor Sprint in Cygnet River.
