Weekend Warm-Up: 4-5 April

The Easter weekend is an exciting time for motorsport with yet another chapter soon to be written at the Bathurst 6 Hour.

The annual enduro event held at Mount Panorama is Australia’s largest and longest-running production car event, and draws spectators from all over the country.

More than 240 competitors across five national racing categories will also join the 70-strong Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour grid to see more than 300 cars tackle The Mountain this weekend.

Newcastle Sporting Car Club will host its annual Toyota Nationals event beginning Good Friday. The proceedings will begin with a Show n Shine at Ollie Robins Oval, before the feature motorkhana heads to the Dubbo Showgrounds on Saturday.

Victoria also has a pair of permitted events over the coming days. Bendigo Car Club’s BCC Harrie Larter Dash khanacross event, and the Geelong Motor Sport Club partners again with Western District Car Club for Round 2 of the interclub motorkhana series at Geelong Motor Sports Complex in Avalon.

A lone event in South Australia is a Cars and Coffee Murray Bridge Social Event, put on by the Touge Alliance adding to the Easter festivities.
