Just over a month remains until the 2024 Shannons SpeedSeries season gets underway, with the iconic Sandown International Raceway to host the first event of the year.
Taking place over the second weekend of February, Race Sandown will kick the year off in style with five categories to make up the bumper schedule at one of Australia’s most iconic circuits.
Making up the categories on show during the three-day event will be the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, National Trans Am Series, Australian Production Cars, Australian Formula Open and the Monochrome GT4 Australia Series, the last of which will run its first official round as a solo series.
In addition to the entertaining racing action, the event will see a handful of activations available to fans, highlighted by free grid walks and tours down the famous pit lane.
There will also be multiple displays, food and beverage stalls and the opportunity to meet some of the stars of the Shannons SpeedSeries.
There are still plenty of affordable ticketing options on sale for fans interested in attending the three-day jam packed event, including single-day and weekend passes.
Single day tickets can be purchased from $35 per person, while a weekend pass is available for $60 per person. Fans wanting to attend Friday’s sessions can do so free of charge but will need to register their entry to the event.
Those unable to make the event can still stay tuned from the comfort of their own homes with the Seven Network to showcase all 10 rounds of the Shannons SpeedSeries live and free in 2024.
Like previous years, a large portion of Saturday and Sunday’s action will form part of the 7plus coverage, while a selection of races from Race Sandown will also be broadcast on 7mate.

While the official schedule for Race Sandown is yet to be released, the event will last for three days where all five categories will enjoy plenty of track time across the round.
The event also coincides with the 2023 Motorsport Australia National Awards Gala Dinner, presented by Shannons Insurance, which will be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in Victoria on the evening of Sunday 11 February.
The popular ceremony will see the outright national Championship and Series winners receive their 2023 trophies, including TCR champion Josh Buchan and S5000 champion Aaron Cameron.
Those who purchase a ticket for the National Awards Dinner will receive a free weekend pass to Race Sandown – adding to the value of the weekend.
The opening round of the 2024 Shannons SpeedSeries season, Race Sandown, takes place at Sandown International Raceway on 9-11 February
