Repco Supercars Championship
It was an extremely diverse day for Supercars’ five sessions on the famous Albert Park circuit. However, it was familiar names in Broc Feeney and Will Brown who secured a one-two finish for Red Bull Ampol Racing in the race.
Second-year driver Ryan Wood topped the time sheets in Practice 1 ahead of Richie Stanaway and Will Davison, before James Golding set the benchmark in Practice 2.
When it came to qualifying, Feeney proved too strong for the rest of the field as he went fastest in both 15-minute sessions.
Feeney beat his teammate in Qualifying by just one hundredth of a second, while Cameron Hill scored his best-ever qualifying result with P3 – the Canberran ended just three hundredths of a second off the pole sitter.
In Qualifying Two, Feeney produced the fastest time of the day with his lap to secure consecutive poles, while Hill incredibly secured a front-row start for the first time in his career – capping off a brilliant day. In what was a strong turnaround from a disappointing round at Sydney for Matt Stone Racing, Nick Percat qualified in third.
When the race eventually began, it was an unchanged top three as Feeney raced away from the field, while Brown and Hill held strong in second and third, respectively.
Despite multiple incidents and a safety car intervention, Feeney never looked like giving up his position, picking up his first win of the year ahead of Brown, while Hill’s unforgettable day continued with a maiden Supercars podium.
It’s just one race for Supercars on Friday, with the second race to occur at 2:50 pm AEDT.

Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship
The one-make series enjoyed three sessions on Thursday, starting off with practice in the morning and wrapping up with the first of three races.
Taking out top honours in an interrupted opening outing was reigning champion Harri Jones – the Queenslander and 2024 Champion crossed the line half a second ahead of Bayley Hall after an exciting last-lap dash, while Dylan O’Keefe rounded out the top three.
When the race began, Jones got off to a strong start and held both Jackson Walls and Hall at bay as he survived the opening stint firmly in front. The field managed to stay intact for the opening six laps before the first casualty of the weekend saw Ash Seward Motorsport’s Matt Slavin in the wall.
Following a lengthy safety car period, which came to an end right before the final lap, Jones briefly lost the lead to Alessandro Ghiretti but didn’t take long to reclaim it – eventually crossing the line in top spot.
Out of the Am drivers, Sam Shahin took out the victory ahead of Adrian Flack and Rodney Jane.
The series resumes tomorrow with one race in the evening.
