Get ready for the Victorian Esports Championship Finals

After a successful iRacing Pre-Qualifying event, the MOZA Racing Victorian Esports Championship finals are ready to kick off on 3-4 May at MotorEx 23 at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

After the week long qualifying, Rehan Liyanage set the quickest hot lap time at Mount Panorama, with a time of 2:17.223. Samuel Smith followed closely by just 0.72 seconds; and Benjamin Roberts merely two-hundredths of a second behind Smith.

There were some familiar faces amongst the twelve drivers, including FIA Motorsport Games 2022 and 2024 representative, Philippa Boquida. The Victorian driver showed impressive form with a 2:17.539 finish and will be a real fight for contention after their outing at eROC 2025 earlier this year.

The MOZA Racing Victorian Championship begins with an in-person Saturday qualifying at the Melbourne Showgrounds. All 12 drivers will complete five laps around Mount Panorama (iRacing) aboard a BMW M2 CSR, with the eight fastest qualifiers moving into the Semi-Finals.

The Semi-Finals will take place on Sunday, with the top two drivers from each group advancing to the Grand Final Race on the Sunday afternoon.

The final race will consist of 10 laps, with the race winner being crowned the 2025 MOZA Racing Victorian Esports Champion and awarded with a MOZA Racing R3 Bundle including R3 Direct Drive Wheelbase, ES Steering Wheel and SR-P Lite Pedals.

Trophies will also be awarded for first, second and third place.

All elements of the in-person event can be viewed at the dedicated E-Sports World at MotorEx. The interactive world will be based in the Grand Pavilion at Melbourne Showgrounds. Tickets for this event are now on sale, so interested spectators, friends and family are invited to purchase tickets and join in on the action.

The finals will also be broadcasted live on the Motorsport Australia Esports Website, Facebook, Twitch and YouTube for those not attending the event.
